The season proper is looming soon so how are we doing in terms of preparation?
After the blackguard W**r left us somewhat adrift, things are starting to look more positive.

We have a young but very promising management team.A valued Assistant Manager Stewart Petrie has been recruited which is essential for Paul Sheerin as player-manager.
On the downside, we've lost a few standout players from last seasons squad (disappointingly many of them to Bre***n) while two key players Doris and Rattray will not be ready until well into the campaign. We've lost both friendlies so far
..but its fitness not results that matter. On the positive side, we've signed some good players, Griffin, Shields, McAnespie, Falkingham as well as Sheerin himself and retained some members from before. There's a feeling that we still need a commanding presence at the centre of defence and perhaps upfront.
We face a series of tough friendlies over the next 10 days and then two tough ties away to Dunfermline. This may provide the workout we need but we might need some confidence of banging in a few. We watch and wait. |
