In a surprise boardroom coup in late November 2007, legendary ArbroathMAD editor simonlichtie was ousted from his post by a shady consortium of so-called wellwishers. The new editors, believed to be lifelong Lichtie fans, would not be drawn on either their plans for the site or how long the new regime would remain.
In view of previous sterling services rendered to the Arbroath faithful Simonlichtie was not referred to the International Court of Justice but would still be asked to pay full admission fee for entry to future home games.
In an appeal to the dwindling masses, the new editors requested ArbroathMAD's readership to show patience and loyalty. "We need to put together a nice run of results and see where that's get us. We'll take one game at a time". All three Gordons - Smith, Brown and Gin - declined the offer to comment. Onwards and upwards |
