Leaders Forfar suffer rare League Two defeat in feisty contest at Berwick
Forfar suffered their first Ladbrokes League Two defeat in 11 games as the leaders were downed 3-2 in a feisty clash at Berwick.
Darren Lavery gave Rangers the lead on 10 minutes before goals from David Cox and Josh Peters turned the game on its head before the midway point of the first half.
Danny Denholm was then sent off for Forfar on 69 minutes before midfielder Jamie Bain scored an own goal moments later to bring the sides level once more.
Gary Phillips completed the comeback for Berwick in the 89th minute and they held on despite having a trialist dismissed in added time
Second-placed Arbroath failed to take full advantage, however, as they were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Stirling Albion.
Struggling Stirling took the lead through Darren Smith but Arbroath, now eight points behind the Loons, equalised seven minutes later courtesy of Steven Doris.
Elgin pulled 10 points clear of the chasing play-off pack with a dominant 4-1 win against 10-man Clyde
Mark Nicolson, Shane Sutherland, Craig Gunn and an own goal from Ross Perry saw City ease to their fourth win in five league games.
Sean Higgins scored the consolation for Clyde, who had Jordan McMillan sent off with six minutes remaining.
Basement boys Cowdenbeath suffered their fourth successive defeat as Annan's Darren Ramsay scored the only goal in a 1-0 win seven minutes after the interval.
Elsewhere, Edinburgh City were held to a 1-1 draw by Montrose, for whom Cammy Ballantyne's late equaliser cancelled out Josh Walker's 30th-minute opener.
