We're going up! Nervous 90 minutes but Lichties hold on to win promotion

Must have been around 300 Lichtie fans packing into Stair Park for the second leg and John McGlashan started with the same side that duid so well on Wednesday

Stranraer had to go for it and kep us on the back foot throughout the game. They seem a quality side passing it around well so we needed to be disciplined throughout. First half Stranraer went real close twice first from a header from their big defender thumping against our crossbar from a corner, then Tade wriggled through to hit one just past the post. We didn't carry much attacking threat and a Brazil header was one of few chances

Second half we were puhsed further back as Stranraer turned the screw. Key moment when Tully was shown a straight red for a clumsy tackle - which deserved only a yellow. Then Tade onto a great through ball to smash past Hill from 12 yards.

Flyer and Reilly replaced Watson and Campbell. Reilly almost nicked one after a goalmouth scramble. Stranraer continued to throw everything at our defence and a combination of stout sometimes desperate defending and lack of composure kept the deficit to one.

The final whistle was cue for Lichtie fans to stream on and begin celebrations in fronof the main stand, and the player came on to join on. "we are Going Up'. Disappointed there was no official ceremony - SFL let us down but who cares?.

Great day out for all. We're on the move again.

Strange to end a very disappoitning season on a real high. And we deserved it. After three successive playoffs, our lowest points total paradoxically leads to promotion. Well done manager and players for showing such character and skill in these last 4 games. onwards and upwards
