Show of character but only a point

gauntCLYDE boss Jim Duffy praised his players after they fought back to hold leaders Arbroath.

Marc McCusker missed an open goal 15 minutes into the second half and Arbroath made the most of their reprieve by going ahead seconds later through Josh Falkingham.

Willie Sawyers rescued a point for Clyde before Arbroath had Darran Thompson sent off for a lunge on McCusker.

Duffy said: "I have to praise the players for the character they showed."

Arbroath boss Paul Sheerin was puzzled at Thompson's dismissal and the decision to send No.2 Stewart Petrie to the stand.

Sheerin said: "I thought it was a yellow card. Stewart was sent off for asking if it a was a red card."
