Barry Sellars was on target as Arbroath inflicted a first defeat in six games on Peterhead.
The visitors started brightly but had to wait until the stroke of half time to take the lead.
Steven Rennie cut the ball back for Sellers and he fired Arbroath in front with a composed finish from 12 yards.
Peterhead equalised on the hour through Martin Bavidge's close-range effort. But substitute Steven Doris hooked home the winner 11 minutes from time.
