Late strikes grind out a key result at Cliftonhill

Rather a defensive set-up as Rattray and Tully returned to the side with Flyer starting on the bench, replaced by Campbell. Midfield was Smith, Sellars and Watson, with Tosh and Brazil up front. McBride and Flyer came on after 63 minutes for Watson and Rattray respectively, then Reilly just before the end

In front of a meagre 264 `crowd', Albion had the upper hand first half, coming close when Nicky Smith cleared off the line from a Hughes header.   But our task became a bit easier close to the break when Albion's Big John Gemmill, who had helped tear our defence apart last two games, was sent off after an incident involving Paul Watson.

A great freekick from Barry Sellars right into the top corner made the breakthrough for us after 73 minutes.  Then it was again a Sellars pass that fed through to Scott McBride to score just before the end o seal a vital win as Elgin dopped 2 points at Firs Park.

Not fluent but we did enough and so this was a professional display.  No cautions or sendings-off for us today - that's a change

Another hurdle overcome - only 3 tough games left in the regular season.
