Red Lichties claim seven-goal thriller

Three goals in five first-half minutes inspired Arbroath to a 4-3 win against Dumbarton.

The hosts went in front after 21 minutes when Kieran McAnespie fired home from close range before Stuart Malcolm's strike two minutes later doubled their lead.

They looked to be coasting to victory when Gavin Swankie's 26th-minute free-kick found the corner.

But Dumbarton came out fighting in the second half and pulled a goal back after 51 minutes through Martin McNiff's header.

The comeback appeared to be well and truly on when Scott Agnew converted from Ryan Borris' pass 14 minutes later.

The hosts sealed the win with 11 minutes left through striker Steven Doris, although McNiff provided a late scare when he grabbed his second goal of the game late on.
