Another late, some home defeat

Alloa Athletic opened up a 13-point gap between themselves and fellow promotion chasers Arbroath with victory at Gayfield.

Having lost to the same opponents in Alloa on Saturday, Paul Hartley's men took the lead from the penalty spot on 19 minutes.

Michael Travis fouled Ryan McCord and the midfielder slotted home from 12 yards.

Stuart Malcolm nodded Paul Sheerin's corner into the net midway through the second half to level but Kevin Cawley's late strike sealed victory for the visitors.

BBC:  Second-place Alloa move 10 points clear of Brechin City, who have five games in hand, while Arbroath are level on points with fourth-place Forfar Athletic.
