Crawford keeps up scoring form

David Crawford scored his fifth goal in four games to help Albion to a 4-0 home victory against Arbroath.

Todd Lumsden's men went ahead after 16 minutes when Crawford curled a left-footed effort into the top corner.

Gary Phillips was inches away from giving the Wee Rovers breathing space in the 58th minute, but his blockbuster effort struck the crossbar.

The Cliftonhill crowd were eventually given the second goal they craved, as Steven Howarth tucked away Simon Marriott's 72nd-minute cross.

Victory was secured five minutes later, as Anthony Stevenson smashed home a penalty kick, after Stuart Malcolm upended Howarth inside the area.

Paul Currie received his second yellow card of the afternoon in stoppage time for a foul on Ryan Tiffeny, allowing Crawford to apply the finish to Stevenson's subsequent free-kick to cap a fine performance for Lumsden's side.
