Arbroath narrowly lost out 2-1 to Forfar in the reserve league game this evening.

Arbroath took the lead midway through the first half, when a good cut back was easily slotted home by Stevie Cook.

Forfar equalised through Darren Scott. Mathu King disposessed John McAuley but had his shot blocked by Timmy Woodcock, but Scott then pounced to finish the rebound.

Forfar then scored a winner in the 2nd half from a great Mark Booth free kick. After winning the free kick 40 yards from goal, Booth spotted Woodcock off his line and chipped the ball perfectly over his head and into the net.

Arbroath:
Timmy Woodcock, Greig Millar, Gavin Beith, John Cusick, John McAulay, Trialist, Steve Cook, Duncan McLean, James Collier, John McGlashan, Paul Farquharson.
Subs: Trialist, Jamie Martin, Marc O’Leary, Philip McKibban, Chris Cargill.
