Game of two contrasting halves

East Fife came off the starting blocks at full pelt and created several good chances before Jonathan Page eventually gave the visitors the lead after eleven minutes in this afternoon's league clash with Arbroath at Gayfield.

Had the Fife taken their first half chances, they would have been out of sight come the interval.

As it turned out, however, Arbroath dominated the second half and will themselves perhaps feel a little unfortunate to only secure a single point thanks to a headed equaliser from Craig Watson.

Unrelenting Lichtie pressure in the second half deserved a winner but the lack of a break or a bit more composure denied us what would have been a deserved win. We paid for that poor first half
