Points required for survival

Last updated : 10 February 2014 By Fargone

C:WindowsTempphpE5AF.tmpStats for Div 2 (ie League 1) for the past 12 seasons show the average points tally of the team ending in 9th place - ie playoffs is 37 points.

The safety of 8th place has required an average of 41.5 points (only in two seasons did the 8th placed team amass less than 40 points)

Given 5 of the remaining 13 games are against the top 3 teams, it means winning most of the remainder, and hoping for something from those games.

Discourgaing but maybe catching E Fife and staying ahead of Airdrie are more immediate.  Whatever, we need to start grinding out positive results
