Moore seeking E Fife revenge

C:WindowsTempphp3FA5.tmpFrom the Courier:  East Fife player/manager Gary Naysmith heads a long list of players who are rated doubtful for tomorrow’s home game against League Two leaders Arbroath.

The Fifers are still right in the hunt for the fourth promotion play-off spot, despite losing back-to-back games against Annan and Clyde in recent weeks, and could potentially move back into the top four with a win over the Lichties at Bayview.

They are one of the few teams who have tasted success over Allan Moore’s men this season but, if they are to repeat the feat, they may well have to do it without some regulars.

Naysmith confirmed that he is struggling ahead of tomorrow’s game, while defender Liam Smith, midfielders Alan Cook and Caolan McAleer, and forward Jon McShane are all also nursing injuries.

....Naysmith said: "The first half at Clyde was good and we were a goal up but the second was really disappointing and we lost 3-1.

"We defeated Arbroath earlier in the season, but the only way we will defeat them again is if we play for the entire game."

Arbroath have swapped one on-loan Dylan for another in their midfield with St Johnstone's Dylan Easton joining the Gayfield men on a temporary basis to replace Dylan Carreiro, who has returned to Dundee.

Kieron Stewart looks set to return to the starting line-up after a knock, however, goalkeeper David Crawford remains out with a knee injury.

Manager Allan Moore said: "East Fife were the first team to beat us this season and we want to win those points back. I want us to end the year in top place and at least five points clear and the best way to do that is by winning this game
