From the Arbroath Herald:
Another defeat on Saturday at Borough Briggs was the nail in the coffin for Arbroath football Club manager Allan Moore, who has been shown the door.
Taking the team from the doldrums of relegation Moore’s techniques initially turned the team around however, form slumped after Christmas leaving a wake of dropped points and disappointing draws.
The club announced the news last night (Sunday). A spokesperson said: “After a prolonged period of poor results and discussions at Board level, Allan Moore is no longer Manager of Arbroath FC. The Club are now actively seeking applications for the position of Manager.
It is understood Todd Lumsden has been asked to continue on the caretaker basis although it's not clear if he will. Senior players are guiding the ship at present
I'd like to thank Allan Moore for some of the best showings after our meteoric first half to the season. Acombination of bad luck and poor signings have meant the second half of the season has been truly disastrous. We wish him well as he moves on
