McGlashan appointed as new Arbroath manager

Arbroath today appointed fans favourite John McGlashan as the successor to Harry Cairney. McGlashan, who only left the club during the summer will take charge straight away this Saturday.

This will be John's first senior management post after managing Dundee Violet for just 2 months this season in the juniors. John played for many clubs during his senior playing career including Dundee, Rotherham and Millwall before ending his career at Arbroath.

Hopefully John's expierence in playing will help him in management. Although personally I would have preferred a more expierence manager after our previous two inexpierenced managers, Harry Cairney and Steve Kirk failed. Time will tell though!
