From the Courier:  Allan Moore suffered a nightmare in his first match in charge of Arbroath as Aberdeen thrashed his side 7-0 at Gayfield.

The Dons opened the scoring after 12 minutes with Mark Reynolds heading his side into the lead.

Barry Robson doubled the Pittodrie side’s lead just before the half hour mark when he headed home from a Niall McGinn cross.

The former Celtic star added another just before half-time when his low drive from the edge of the box found the net and gave the visitors a comfortable lead at half-time.

Aberdeen continued to press the home side and were rewarded again when Peter Pawlett was on target 10 minutes into the second half.

The League Cup winners added a fifth just after the hour mark when Willo Flood’s deflected shot beat Scott Morrison in the Lichties goal

Adam Rooney was next to get in on the act when his strike found the net before Nicky Low sent through Declan McManus to round off the scoring.
