ladyloanEvening Telegraph article from March 2013:   A counselling service is targeting Angus football fans in a move over the issues surrounding suicide.

Insight Counselling has opened a new venue in Arbroath to provide support for families and friends of people who have taken their own lives.

The new service, at the old Ladyloan school, next to Gayfield, will complement the work that goes on in the existing venue at Little Cairnie.

A total of 50 people took their own lives across Tayside last year, according to recent figures released by Tayside Police. The death toll was up 17 on the previous year and is the highest in five years.

Insight Counselling volunteers now want to get the message across to as many people as possible in Angus that help is available.

Staff and volunteers will be at Gayfield tomorrow to speak to fans at Arbroath FC’s home game against Queen of the South, with a big crowd expected.

Insight Counselling offers services for free in Dundee and Arbroath. Anyone who wishes more information can give Insight Counselling a call on 01382 228836 or email receptionist@insightcounselling.org.uk.
