C:WindowsTempphp91CF.tmpAnnan website:   A little unlucky no to take something from the game tonight. Dominating for large spells second half and creating ample chances to equalise

Lichtie23 For the handful of us who were there we were fortunate to escape with a win. Very impressive 1st half but a back's to the wall 2nd. Crawford made a superb triple save half way through the 2nd half that look world class from my view point.

Whatley, Crawford or Nicoll could have had man of the match.

For what it's worth Annan are the best footballing side we have played at this level so far.

pidmondo (P&B)  Arbroath were good 1st half and deserved the lead, 2nd half we stepped up and deserved the draw

Thought Arbroath were the best team at galabank this season and to be honest that's the best performance at home we have put in this year....

, it was a very sporting game hardly a free kick, and was it in, crawfords wonder save was a scoop oot of the net for sure...he's a lad the boy

Arbroath pull clear at summit

Arbroath moved eight points clear at the top of the table with a 1-0 win over in-form Annan.

It took the visitors just 10 minutes to break the deadlock and take a huge step to making it six games unbeaten when Simon Murray teed-up Dylan Carriero who found the bottom corner.

Murray then came close to doubling their lead on the half hour but Alex Mitchell kept out his 33rd-minute effort from the centre of the box.

The Galabankies came into their first home game in five boasting a seven-game unbeaten run and could have levelled through Michael McAnespie only for David Crawford to smartly parry his left-footed effort.

And Arbroath saw out the remainder of the match to create a comfortable gap over second-placed Queens Park.
