Alloa manager Allan Maitland blasted the decision to play this game in conditions that bordered on the farcical

"It was ridiculous" fumed the Wasps boss " the game should never have gone ahead. the referee wanted to put it off at halftime. John McGlashan didn;t want it off because quite rightly his team had battled against the elements in the first half and felt they had an advantage in the second". But i there's a spectacle there for supporters I'm missing it"

"The game's a joke and I didn't think it was a penalty kick either. "The whole thing was a farce from start to finish. was there a shot on goal the enire game? I don't remember any" "Anybody who's paid thier money to see hat should be refunded"

Arbroath manager John McG confirmed there had been talks at halftime about bandoning the match but thathe wasn't in favour of calling thegame off" It would have been an easy call to abandon the game but I felt I'd played in worse conditions"

It was borderline at one stage but both teams actually played better against the wind. I
i always felt one goal would win it and thankfully we got it"

"FAIR PLAY TO ALLOA. THEY DIDN'T MOAN ABOUT THE CONDITIONS (see Maitland's rant above). THEY'RE HONEST GUYS AND THEY JUST GOT ON WITH IT"
