Between a Rock and a Hard Place - Flat Arbroath sunk by 2 free-kicks

Struggling Dumbarton were worth their first home win in a while. Arbroath played over an hour a man short after Bishop was dismissed for elbowing their forward.

Lunan strated his first game for the Lichties but Flyer and Tosh were relegated to the bench.

Brian Scott took his goal, a solo effort, to equalise with aplomb just before halftime, and showed up well up front but there was not enough drive, ernergy or creativity on show for the Lichties.

We succumbed to not one but two fairly similar freekicks by Mark Canning from outside the box, both of which seemed to elude the defensive wall. No defence blunders like last week but not good enough

The only saving grace is other play-off contenders apart from Stranraer didn't win. More of this and even they'll be out of sight.

Dire refereeing but no excuses
