GETTING BACK ON THE RAILS - FOR THE TOUGH ROAD AHEAD
The season's now well underway. We had a dodgy start to say the least but two narrow hard fought home wins against Shire and Queens have put the campaign back on the rails.
There's still a lot of finetuning to be done. The team has shown glimpses of class but overall has not played with much fluidity or cohesion. After the major leakage of goals in the opening games, the recent clean sheets are encouraging but owe as much to poor attacks than to solid defence.
So far i doubt any of the teams we've played to date will be figuring near the top of the table. Now we have to get down to the harder stuff with a tough run of games against contenders starting away at Berwick - now the early favourites. 3 of our next 4 games are away - all long and difficult trips.
Now the character and the capability of the team will be fully tested. We'll need some stepping up to the plate
This week FootyMad's match preview focuses on the game between Berwick Rangers and Arbroath at 15:00 on Saturday, 11th September 2010 in the Scottish Division Three.
